Adaptable Hillside Mixed Use Hospitality
Located in a very challenging hilly area in Makkah 1,500m away from the Holy Al Haram Mosque, the development successfully manages the terrain to maximize the number of rooms provided.

The resulting design of 7 hotel towers achieved to provide an astonishing 3,662 rooms with a total built up area of 216,002m². The terrain also proved challenging with regards to managing the pedestrian circulation and access to the development, which was resolved in the design by cleverly utilizing the retail podium as a connector element which also became the main public pedestrian thoroughfare. Similarly, the vehicular traffic is funneled into the shared podium and is managed and distributed discreetly underneath the podium.
